Manitoba ChapterThe Manitoba Chapter meets on the last Thursday of the month, from January to May, and from September to November. Our meetings are held in conjunction with the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada, 958 Ferry Road. We feature speakers that cover all aspects of aviation. Past meeting subjects have included Battle of Britain pilot Johnny Kent, airships, and aviation museums around the world. We also host special events, such as the visit of Lieutenant Colonel Maryse Carmichael, then commanding officer of the Snowbirds air demonstration squadron, and tours of local aviation facilities like the Standard Aero / General Electric Testing, Research and Development Centre. We hold an annual two evening film festival dedicated to historical aviation films. We often hold sales of used aviation books and magazines.

Our meetings are free, and open to everyone interested in Canadian aviation history. We provide the coffee and doughnuts. Check out our Google+ page for more information.
