Caitlin McWilliams completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Windsor in History and English. She recently finished her Master’s degree in History at Wilfrid Laurier University, studying RCAF public relations policies and air-mindedness in Ontario during the Second World War. Her areas of interest include the RCAF in Europe 1939-45, the historical memory of the air war, and the heritage of flight in Canada. She is currently working at the Laurier Centre for Military Strategic and Disarmament Studies as a research associate responsible for the library and archives.

Caitlin became involved in aviation through her uncle, a pilot with the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association. She took her very first flight in his 1941 Boeing Stearman and has been fascinated by vintage aircraft ever since. Shortly after, she began working the operations desk at the Windsor Flying Club until moving away for school.

She recently joined the CAHS and has become the editor of its monthly e-newsletter. To send her media releases, event information, or news tips, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
