Welcome to the Vancouver Chapter!

Our chapter works to preserve the aviation history and heritage of the province of British Columbia. To achieve this, we hold monthly meetings that vary from guest speakers, slide shows, power point presentations, videos, and trivia quizzes. Come out, and enjoy an evening of entertainment and learning with fellow aviation enthusiasts of all ages!

Meeting and Membership Information

Meetings: Second Tuesday of every month (except July, August, and statutory holidays)

Upcoming Meeting Information - February 2012

There will be NO FEBRUARY MEETING, as all rooms in the Richmond Cultural Centre are tied up that week for a Children's Art Fest. Please advise any you know of who do not have e-mail.

Attempts to get a room up on the 2nd Floor(Richmond Arts Centre) did not pan out and we decided it was less confusing to just cancel the meeting rather than try to find a free evening some other oddball day of February.

We will be back in the usual time and place in March.

We have several other interesting speakers lined up for the coming months. New CAHS National Member Col(Ret'd) Bud White has offered to give some presentations on his experiences as an RCAF and CAF test pilot, including his involvement as a Canadian Exchange Officer with the Gemini and Apollo space flights and also his 1967 Centennial project to attempt to break the world's altitude record in the CF-104A. The Russians beat us, but Bud's best attempt still stands as a Canadian record, and the aircraft is on display at Canada Aviation Museum at Rockcliffe.
